Georgian Silver Salver

18th century
Description

This is a wonderful Georgian silver salver.

Super cast edge decoration, very crisp for its age.

Fully marked to the back London 1819 Joseph Craddock & William Ker who set up business in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

The crest in the middle is of a pair of wings and star, the nearest match I have found is the Colman family.

On the base is a great assay scrape, see picture 5, not easy to photograph!

Great colour and patination commensurate with age.

Diameter 23 cm

Depth 3.5 cm

Weight 17.32 ozs
