Description

A large and unusual rustic antique pine mule chest or blanket box. The antique pine mule chest has a hinged plank lid that opens to reveal a spacious interior. The chest has two fitted drawers to the base, each fitted with recessed brass handles or pulls. Raised on bracket feet. Finished with a fresh coat of natural wax. Rustic throughout.

CONDITION REPORT:

In rustic antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear throughout including age-related marks, scratches and staining to the top, front, and sides (pictured). There are shrinkage gaps to the plank top (pictured). Evidence of old historic woodworm throughout - this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. The antique pine mule chest remains structurally solid and sound. A good rustic example with plenty of charm and character.
