A 5-glass Mahogany Barograph With Chart Draw

This is an attractive late 19th century Barograph.
 
The eight day duration clock movement with original platform escapement. Contained within a brass chart drum with lid and hinged chart retaining clip.
 
The eight-tiered aneroid capsule stack operating the inked nib arm and having a ''Pen set'' adjusting knob and arm ''off-chart'' lever. Mounted upon a grained brass platform and also having an ink bottle seating tube.
 
Contained within a well made mahogany case of good colour and retaining its original French polish. The lift-off top cover having five substantial and bevelled glass panels and the base having a double chart drawer and wide moulded throat - the front bearing an ivorine maker''s plate with the engraved inscription ''PILLISCHER. OPTICAL & SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENT MAKER. NEW BOND ST. LONDON. W.'' Also having flat corner feet.
