Exquisite Victorian Solid Silver Thimble Cased in Ormulu Chatelaine Egg-shaped Holder

Description

This is an exquisite Victorian silver thimble in its original egg-shaped ormulu thimble case. The outer case chased all over with blossom flowers. The side with a thumbpiece opening to reveal the original interior fitted with pink satin and velvet. So often, the interior of these holders are missing. This is a beautiful complete example. The silver thimble is fully hallmarked.
