Mytton Antiques - Jerrard Nares has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
The stems with Rococo decoration of flowers and leaves, amongst rising stems, emerging from the reeded and scrolling lower stems, above the flowing circular bases, decorated with flowing leaves, between the turning leaf feet.
The whole with very good smooth gilt, against chasing.
Date circa 1770.
