Description

An early 18th century walnut chest on later stand. The chest consisting of two over three drawers, with the stand having three drawers and cabriole legs. Two drawers have working locks with an original key. The chest has a heavy moulded and canted cornice with the side of the chest also being canted with fluted detail.

There has been some restorations with later brass hardware and some wood worm damage commensurate with age. Overall the chest on stand has beautiful figured walnut veneers throughout and a superb colour and patination, and is in excellent condition.
