French 19th Century Boulle Bonheur Du Jour

Description

?A fabulous quality French ebonised boulle red tortoise shell and engraved brass bonheur du jour writing cabinet with domed oval panels to the doors and serpentine shaped based with square tapering cabriole legs. There are two drawers below the cabinet doors and a lockable drawer to the base with a pull out writing slide which is fitted with red baize. The cabinet has good quality bronze gilt ormolu mounts and moulds with ebonised sides and a polished mahogany interior. The locks are in full working order and come with a key.
