George II Pad Foot Mahogany Console / Drop-leaf Tea Table

George II period, mahogany pad foot console cum tea table, Circa 1740. This period console table, features an attractively figured solid mahogany top with square corner and edges. The rear leaf folds out to reveal a well figured squarish top. Supported by a gateleg rear leg. Plain frieze all around with central single drawer with batwing brass plate escutcheon pull handle. With lock, no key. Raised on turned tapered legs on off-set pad feet.
 
A high quality table, made from good early mahogany, considerable heavy, odd marks and blemishes, but very much ready for use.

This table measures approximately 71 cm (28'') tall, 81 cm (32'') wide, 38.5 cm (15'') deep unfolded, and 72.5 cm (28.5'') deep folded out.
