Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

Originating in the late nineteenth century, the Arts and Crafts movement championed traditional craftsmanship, simple forms, and natural materials over mass industrial production. Designs typically display structural integrity, exposed joinery, and organic decorative motifs.

Tables from this period were predominantly constructed from solid hardwoods such as oak, mahogany, or walnut. Accent surfaces frequently incorporated hand-tooled leather, repousse brasswork, or marquetry details.

Authentic period pieces feature hand-cut joinery, turned timber stretchers, and age-appropriate wear to the timber and leather surfaces. Hardware such as upholstery tacks will exhibit slight irregularities consistent with manual installation rather than modern uniform production.

Position the table beside an armchair or sofa as a functional surface for drinks or books. Its warm wood tones and textured leather top provide visual contrast when placed against clean, modern architectural lines.

Dust the timber regularly with a clean, dry microfibre cloth and apply beeswax polish sparingly along the grain. Clean the leather surface with a specialized leather balm to prevent drying and cracking, avoiding direct sunlight or proximity to radiators.
