Stunning original antique French gilt brass boudoir clock. The style is Rococo, waisted, asymmetric keyhole shape with acanthus leaf shoulders, 'C' scroll feet and surmounted by an elaborate floral and acanthus finial. It stands on its original integral base. The design is beautifully bold and heavily moulded in brass, well chased and finished. It is modelled in the round and so would display very well on a table.

Dial is a beautiful enamel on copper with separate minute ring, it is complete with its original delicately fretted brass hands and convex glass.

The French movement is of excellent quality and is in clean and fully working condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is a replacement. It runs for 8 days on one wind and strikes the hours and halves on a bell, click the video below to see and hear the movement!

The finish of the gilding is excellent, bright and clean. There are some minor areas of wear or discoloration. The dial is in excellent condition with just some slight chipping around the winding holes.

Complete with pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
