Penderyn Antiques has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The early Georgian oak chest of drawers is raised on bracket feet and the number 38 etched into the left hand side. A rather wonderful example of a small early Georgian chest.

CONDITION REPORT:
In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and staining to the top surface and drawer fronts (pictured). The Georgian oak chest of drawers remains structurally solid and sound with the drawers running well. There is a patch repair to the middle drawer and some minor losses to the drawer edges. Some evidence of old historic woodworm in places - this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution.
