This is a delightful trinket, ring or pill box made by the renowned silversmiths, Levi and Salaman, Birmingham, and assayed in 1908. Of oval form, the faux tortoiseshell lid has beautiful ribbon and foliate pique inlay, a central, blank cartouche, and a moulded husk edging. The interior is gilded and in fine order. This piece is in excellent antique condition. The lid fits exactly and the hallmarks are clear, with the date letter slightly rubbed but identifiable. There is no damage and no repairs to the silver or the tortoiseshell. In all, this is a very pretty little collectors' piece.
