The case is quite outstanding, made of quarter sawn tiger oak which is the finest and most desireable, it is in superb condition.
The original front glass door is set in a polished brass frame and is in perfect condition and this is complimented by the brass cherub spandrels at each corner.
The clock has a full Westminster quarter chiming repeater movement, repeating the quarter and the hours on demand with a pull cord on the side which is extremely rare and most sought after.
Winterhalder and Hoffmier are considered to be the very best German clock makers of their time and their clock movements are the Rolls Royce of movements. As you can see from the pictures the quality of engineering is top drawer.
This clock is fully stamped with the Winterhalder and Hoffmier mark on the movement.
This is without doubt one of the finest German clock movements you will ever see.
Genuine Winterhalder and Hoffmier clocks in this condition are extremely rare and do not often come on the open market.
The movement has just been fully serviced so is in tip top condition and should give trouble free service for many years to come
It is keeping accurate time to within 1 minute a week.
This clock has obviously been highly prized and looked after, the condition is a credit to its previous owners.
Overall this is a very fine and beautifully proportioned original German bracket clock by the very best maker.
The clock movement comes with a full 12 month warranty.
