Description

A stunning antique photograph locket engraved on both sides, one with a hand-incised scrolling foliate design typical of the Victorian and Edwardian eras and a blank cartouche, the other with a riot of forget me nots. Either side can be worn to the front.

One side of the locket is stamped 15CT BACK & FRONT - it's rare to find a 15-carat gold back and front locket (with both sides made from solid gold), they are almost always nine-carat.

Both picture frame inserts and acetates are intact, ready for you to insert your own photos.

In excellent antique condition. The locket opens at the side with a thumbnail and closes securely, the hinge and clasp are in good working order.

Size: 3.8cm total drop, the locket measures 3.3 x 3cm.
