Large Outstanding Oil Portrait Painting By Robert Antoine Muller (1821-1883)
Brief Description:
This is a large exceptional quality Original Oil on Board Portrait Painting depicting a smartly dressed little schoolboy who is lying beside a small pond whilst playing with his toy sailing boat.
Surrounded by an expansive English countryside landscape setting, the piece is outstanding in every respect, and painted during the 19th Century by the renowned Royal Academy Listed British artist:
''Robert Antoine Muller'' (1821-1883).
Robert Antoine Müller (1821–1883) was a British painter who worked in the second half of the 19th century.
Müller or Muller lived in London and worked between around 1870 and 1883. He made a name for himself as a portrait painter and painted between other royal doctors and other prominent figures, such as Benjamin Disraeli. He also excelled as a genre painter. He exhibited seven works at the Royal Academy and three works at The Royal Society of British Artists.
Several of his works belong to the Royal Art Collection in Great Britain
The above magnificent work is affectionately titled: ''Setting Sail''
It is mounted within the original substantial-sized gilt gesso moulded frame, and it is signed lower-right corner: ''Robert A. Muller''.
It is a beautiful subject matter and the attention to detail throughout the work is truly magnificent!
