Antique Victorian Mahogany Carver Armchair

Description

A beautiful and elegant antique carver armchair or desk chair in solid mahogany. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1890-1900 period.

It has a beautiful design, with an amazing solid turned mahogany frame and drop in rush seat. The backs slats have an interesting, wavy pattern, the armrests terminate in solid mahogany spheres. This has a stretchered base for added stability and is in good structural condition.

We have recently had this re-polished, the condition is excellent for its age.

Width – 24 inches , 61 cm

Depth – 23 inches , 58 cm

Height – 38 inches , 97 cm

Seat height – 18 inches , 46 cm
