Victorian Oil Lamp with Original Glass Shade

1900 - 1920
Description

Circa 1890-1910 a beautifully decorated peach coloured oil lamp, with original etched glass shade.

The wick holder is clearly marked HINKS & SON PATENT, and the wick handles are marked HINKS 2ND QUALITY DUPLEX.

The oil lamp measures 61cm in height with the glass funnel in position; the central body of the lamp is approximately 18cm in diameter and the base is approximately 17cm in diameter with four brass feet.

The fine quality decorative work around the body of the lamp is crisp and clear, and both the lamp and etched glass shade are in very good condition with no signs of damage or repair.

The colour at the top of the shade is softer at the top than may appear in the images.
