Stunning Figural Sterling Silver Box - Cherubs - London Import 1893

Description

An absolutely charming double lidded box in the form of a basket. Made on the continent and marked 930, it has the full English hallmark for London 1893 and imported by the English silversmith, David Bridge.

All the sides and the two lids are beautifully decorated with the most charming scenes all incorporating Cherub or Putti figures.

Excellent condition, measuring 2 3/4" at widest x 1 1/4" deep 2 3/4" tall to top of handle. Weighs 58.1 grams or 1.87 troy ounces.
