Description

A wonderful antique serpentine fronted writing bureau in walnut, sitting on bracket feet. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1910 period.

This has a lovely and practical design, with lots of storage space as well as ample work space when the desk area is opened out. It has a wonderful interior, with shaped dividers, compartments, drawers & a central cupboard. The walnut has a gorgeous patina and colour, with beautiful grain patterns. The drawers, writing flap and top are nicely cross banded, there are very well made original brass escutcheons and handles. This is beautifully made throughout and is of excellent quality.

We have had this recently re-polished, it’s in excellent condition for its age, with some minor wear here and there beneath the polish.
