Set of Four Antique Penny Chairs

A particularly nice set of four spindle back antique penny chairs. The antique penny chairs have a shaped top that is supported by spindle supports, and solid elm circular seats. The four penny chairs are raised on four turned legs with double stretcher supports. The penny chairs have an attractive grain pattern throughout, with plenty of rustic charm.

Height – 87.5cm / Width – 49cm / Depth – 49.5cm / Seat Height - 43cm

CONDITION REPORT:

In good rustic antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks to the seats (pictured). One of the chairs has a crack to the back rail that has been filled and some losses to the edge of the seat (pictured). Some evidence of old historical woodworm - this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. All the chairs have minor splits to the seats but remain structurally solid and sound with good tight joints. Finished with a fresh coat of natural wax.

Our carpenter inspects, repairs, and restores our items, so you can have full confidence that what you buy from us is ready for your home!

In case of return, items must be received back in the same condition as delivered and a collection fee of £85 will apply, this would be deducted from any refund amount.
