A handsome antique late Victorian brass bound book slide or book rack dating from circa 1870. With an ebonised walnut frame, the sides with unusual attractive brass and mirrored decoration with gothic revival overtones. The book slide is in good condition and extends to stand a reasonable amount of books. This manually operated book slide is in smooth working order and ready for the desk or home library.
