Marylebone Antiques has dated this piece to the 1910s.
The quality is fantastic, this is very sturdy and well built. It is one fixed piece, the front has an inverted breakfront design, with grooved canted corners and splayed bracket feet. The drawers have fine quality brass handles and have solid wood internal construction, with fine hand cut dovetailed joints. The inset leather writing surface is also of very fine quality and has lovely gold tooling around the edges. This desk is also beautifully polished on the back, so can be used as a free standing item.

We have recently had this re-polished, it is in excellent condition for its age.
