Description

A handsome antique late Victorian gothic revival coal scuttle in oak with green Man carved front dating from circa 1890. With extensive carving to the front, top and sides, it is in a richly figured solid dark oak. It has a beautifully green man carved front panel which lifts up to reveal storage space for coal, logs, kindling etc. and comes complete with original liner.

Condition Report:

Good colour and figuring to the oak. Wear and marks commensurate with age. Old mended split across top (solid). Straps to bottom.
