Great patina to the brass details as well which coupled with the attractively worn leather top makes this piece very handsome indeed. The size is nice as well so although it is elegant and refined it can still withstand daily use. There are drawers on both sides meaning this desk can stand in the centre of a room but only one side has functioning drawers. The only very minor fault us that behind the centre of each handle there is a small loss to the veneer where the handles have knocked against the piece throughout its life. Barely noticeable though. The shape, construction and patina make this a beautiful desk and really would work well in a number of interiors.
