Antique English Inlaid Rosewood & Burl Maple Tea Caddy C.1830

Description

A real stunner of a tea caddy if you are searching for something a little different and highly decorative. Made from Rosewood the top and front is paired with golden Burr Maple creating an outstanding combination.

The interior has two lidded compartments, the lids being made from Rosewood. The top has a small inlaid cartouche made from Mother of Pearl complimenting the shell escutcheon which houses the working key. Standing on four original bun feet, the box remains in superb condition.

William IV in period, dating to c.1830. Measures 8 3/4" x 5 1/4" x 6" tall.
