The stepped top then has a total of eight shaped brass finials as well as inset ormolu panels with beautiful designs. Finally the sides of the case have lovely glass panels with brass, ormolu frames so that the movement can be viewed. A truly unusual shaped case of absolutely fantastic quality.

The dial is then enamel and set out in black Roman numerals as well as smaller red Arabic numerals on the quarters setting out the minutes as well as a thin ring marking each minute. Finally the dial is protected by a domed, bevelled glass set into a shaped brass bezel.

The movement is then wound from the front and accessed from the back. The movement is ticking away and chiming as it should and comes complete with pendulum and key. The clock strikes the number of hours on the hour as well as once on the half past via a gong.
