?Large late Victorian Mahogany chest of drawers (2 over 3) circa 1880 on a plinth base. A very well made, heavy and solid piece of furniture using solid timber rather than veneers. The drawers are pine lined, very clean inside and the runners and stays (which keep the drawers in the correct alignment) are all present and work well.
This example retains all its original brass drop handles, locks and escutcheons. Free from worm, damage, old repairs and or stains/marks under the polish to the top. It has been looked after and has not been altered in any way. Excellent condition all round and a very even colour - no bleaching.
Presented cleaned and re-waxed.
