Antique Victorian Pine Saddle Horse

19th century
Description

A good antique pine saddle horse, likely dating from the mid to late 19th Century. The triangular top stands on square slightly splayed legs and has a shelf below. It is a simple design, likely to be Estate made for a Country House tack room.

It is in good original condition with a beautiful patina. It is very solid and a good height. There are of course signs of age and use but no major damages or anything detrimental. There are signs of some historic worm in the legs which has all been treated as a precaution and hasn't affected the piece structurally or aesthetically. It has been gently cleaned and waxed and is ready for use.
