Description

An extremely beautiful and very rare walnut Art Deco period desk of the highest order. This was made by the famous Hampton’s of Pall Mall in London, it dates from the 1930’s.

Hampton’s furniture was of the finest quality, and this is no exception. It is beautifully made with exquisite burr walnut grain patterns throughout. The back is also beautifully finished, so this can be used as a free standing item. It is a great size, with plenty of workspace, and is not too imposing.

The top is nicely stepped, the steel handles are very stylish and would have been very modernist at the time. There are two brush slides above the top drawers and a double depth drawer with divider in the bottom right.

We have had this stripped and re-polished to a very high standard, the condition is superb for its age. The original Hampton’s badge is still seen in the top drawer.
