Description

Gents 1960s Relide wrist watch.

The watch has a 21-jewel automatic movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 33mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The main body of the case is gold plated while the screw-on case back is stainless steel. A little rubbing along the angled edges. The case back states that the watch is waterproof but, as with any vintage watch, it should be kept away from water and moisture.

The lens is in lovely condition.

The dial is signed Relide, a brand name registered by Walter Triebold of Rheinfelden, Switzerland in 1937. The dial is in its original finish with dauphine shaped hands, seconds sweep and date display. This is an early form of quickset where the hands are moved backwards and forwards between 12 midnight and 8.30pm until the desired date is reached.

A new leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
