Antique Early Victorian Mahogany Chest of 5 Drawers

An amazing condition original chest of drawers with rounded corners.

We are delighted to bring to you the finest example of a rare Victorian (circa 1860) 5 deep descending drawer chest of drawers in Mahogany which is completely original and ideal for any period property. This chest of drawers is in an outstanding original condition featuring rounded front corners either side of the carcass. The chest has its original beautiful French polished finish with a lovely rich mahogany colour. This chest features cock beaded edges which frames the stunning figured mahogany drawer fronts. The drawers have turned knobs and beautiful turned brass keyhole escutcheons in-front of its original solid brass locks (no keys). The finely dovetailed solid Mahogany drawers are in fantastic condition, the drawers are smoothly operating and are very clean inside. The chest of drawers stands on its beautifully turned legs and there are no loose joints or wobbles. This chest of drawers has been carefully cleaned and waxed, maintaining its original patina whilst giving a lovely natural sheen.

Please note; This item is in fantastic condition for its age as shown by the photographs below. Being an antique item there are obviously marks, scratches, dents and some old repairs here and there as expected with anything of this age. However, we feel that these points are which adds to its charm and character to a piece.
