Regency Glass Jug

Description

A Regency Water Jug.

The early 19th century Water Jug, with a broad spout, fronting the chamfer fluted rim, before swept panels of fine hobnail decoration.

The slice cut shoulders meeting a band of diamonds, filled with alternating motifs of star bursts, and hobnail decoration.

The lower slice cut panels tapering to a circular foot, the underside cut with a star burst.

The Jug with a decent tapered handle.

Circa 1830

Height 8 inches, 20cm.
