Lincoln Restorations has dated this piece to the 1880s.
An amazing condition original chest of drawers.
This rare chest of drawers features a raised up-stand to the rear of the top and cross-bandings to the top edge and lower plinth with fiddle back Birch veneer throughout. This simple yet elegant chest of drawers is in lovely condition featuring its original lightly faded french polished finish with a lovely rich golden colour with lots of patina and character. The chest also features fine quality original turned mahogany knobs with engraved mother of pearl inlays to the centre and brass keyhole escutcheons in front of its original locks (no keys). The finely dovetailed drawers are in good condition, are smoothly operating and are very clean inside. The chest of drawers also stands on 4 turned bun feet. This chest does have areas of repairs to the veneer, one of which is quite large to the top right hand side, we have shown this in the pictures.

We have carefully cleaned and waxed this chest, maintaining its original patina whilst giving a lovely natural sheen.
Please note; This item is in fantastic condition for its age as shown by the photographs below. Being an antique item of this age there are obviously marks, scratches and dents, however, we feel that these points are which adds to its charm and character to a piece.
