10 Hepplewhite Style Dining Chairs C.1910

1900 - 1920
Description

Superb set of 10 Hepplewhite style mahogany dining chairs c.1910. 8 dining chairs plus two matching carver armchairs. Interesting design to the backrest with curving top rail either side of the projecting centre splat with carved acanthus detail and a satinwood inlaid lozenge. Elegant curving arms on swept supports to the carvers. Over large padded seats recently upholstered in red leather with copper studs. Raised on tapering front legs with spade block feet and joined with H stretchers, plus a rear stretcher for extra strength. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
