William Hair Haseler founded the Birmingham-based WH Haseler company in 1848/9 and went on to manufacture Liberty's Cymric range of jewellery and silver from 1899; a subsidiary company known as Liberty & Co (Cymric) Ltd was set up by Haseler in 1901 to make goods including the Tudric pewter range for Liberty's and many items by the leading Art Nouveau/Arts and Crafts designer Archibald Knox.

The piece has lovely crisp clear hallmarks (Birmingham 1905) and the WHH sponsor's mark.
The pearl bead drop is rustic, with nacre only on one side.
