18th Century Walnut Bonheur Du Jour or Writing Desk

Description

This small Ladies writing desk crossbanded in walnut and inlaid with boxwood lines, dates to George II, about 1750, with a fall front, a baize writing surface, lots of little drawers and a sliding panel to access the base, it stands on cabriole legs ending in shaped pad feet. In excellent condition with original brass handles, escutcheon, a key and working lock.
