A late C17th and later, oak gateleg dining table. This smallish oval top dining table, constructed in solid English oak, with drop leaves which are supported by gatelegs from either side. The substructure of turned bobbin supports, reeded cross beams, with well proportioned stretchers. On bun feet.
Base dating from late C17th (Circa 1680 - 1710), with an early C19th top, and drawer fitted later, with a mid C18th brass pull handle.
A charming table with lots history. Marks and blemishes, all adding to its character. In a sound condition, cleaned and waxed, and very much ready for use.
