A Superb Quality Victorian Period Burr Walnut Antique Pedestal Desk.

Description

A superb quality Victorian Period burr walnut antique pedestal desk. The rectangular top veneered in the finest burr walnut and having an inset olive green leather writing surface with gilt and blind tool detail and a walnut moulded edge. The front having an arrangement of nine rectangular mahogany lined drawers with beautifully figured burr walnut fronts and turned drawer pulls, retaining their original brass locks stamped "VR" and with working key. Having fine quality walnut ends and back, finished all round so it can be used freestanding which is a extra sign of the quality of this desk, raised on a rounded cornered plinth with inset brass and porcelain castors. English circa 1860-1870

Dimensions: 48" wide x 28" deep x 30" high (knee hole 24" high x 21" wide)
