Antique Georgian Mahogany Chest of Drawers

An attractive antique Georgian mahogany chest of drawers. The straight front Georgian mahogany chest has an arrangement of two short over three long graduating drawers, each fitted with later replacement brass loop handles. The chest has decorative reeded pillars to either side, and is raised on ogee bracket feet. The Georgian mahogany chest of drawers retains a good rich colour throughout.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and staining to the top surface (pictured). The brass loop handles are later replacements. There are losses to the beading around the drawers (pictured) and an honest repair to the front right bracket foot (pictured). The Georgian mahogany chest of drawers remains structurally solid and sound. Overall, a rather attractive piece of Georgian furniture.
