Description

A rather charming antique Georgian oak chest of drawers. The oak chest has an arrangement of four long, graduating drawers each with brass swan neck handles. Raised on bracket feet. Good colour and patina throughout. A particularly attractive country-made oak chest.

CONDITION REPORT:

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age and wear. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches, and staining to the top (pictured). The Georgian oak chest of drawers remains structurally solid and sound with the drawers running well. There is a shrinkage gap to the top and sides. The brass handles are later replacements. Some evidence of old historic woodworm - this is long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. A rather wonderful example with good colour and patina throughout.
