Antique Victorian Burr Walnut Leather Top Writing Table

Description

An excellent antique Victorian period leather top writing table in burr walnut. This was made in England, it dates from around the 1880-90’s period.

It is a very useful size and is of excellent quality. The inset leather top is gold tooled and hand coloured, it contrasts beautifully with the burr walnut. This has nicely tapered and elegant legs, terminating in original porcelain casters. The drawers are solid oak lined and have fine hand cut dovetailed joints. The back is also beautifully finished, so this can be used as a free standing item.

We have just had this re-polished, it is in excellent condition for its age. The colour and burr walnut grain patterns are beautiful and very striking.

Depth – 21 inches , 54 cm

Height – 29 inches , 74 cm

Knee height – 24 inches , 60 cm
