Small Ebonised Mantle Clock

Sold by: Westmorland Glass

This antique has been viewed 14 times in the past month with the most views from Singapore.

Here is a very nice small good quality French mantle clock.
The clock is a similar size to a large carriage clock. The ebonised case is in very good condition with very little visible marks apart from around the back door which can be seen in the photographs. The case will of had a sypathetic clean and wax before being delivered or shipped the any buyer. The front of the clock is decorated with inlaid mother of pearl dots and and gild decorative stringing.
The dial is in fantastic condition signed by the retailer.
The two train movement is signed by one of the better known French makers “Japy Freres” this name is associated with quality French clocks. The movement with the external count wheels is in great working order striking the hours and half hour on a bell. The movement is wound up at the front of the clock by lifting the glass out of the front as you can see in the photos.
This clock all in all ls a fantastic piece of a great size and wouldn’t look to big or out of place on a modern fire place or sideboard
