Penderyn Antiques has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
The antique oak coffer has a two panelled front, with the initials ‘S T’ engraved. The coffer has further panelling to the lid and sides, and is raised on stile feet. Finished with a fresh coat of natural wax. A good, appealing size.

Item Ref; M-3372
DIMENSIONS:
Height – 62cm / Width – 105.5cm / Depth – 48cm
CONDITION REPORT:
In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks, scratches and dents to the lid top (pictured). There is evidence of historic woodworm, however this is now long gone and has been fully treated as a precaution. The 18th century oak coffer remains structurally solid and sound. Overall, a great example retaining its original hinges.
