An early 19thC, probably Georgian, mahogany child’s rocking chair dating to c1830. In excellent order and solidly made, it has many features in miniature of country style Georgian furniture - a reeded stick back, solid seat, outswept arms, and dowelled joints. Lovely patina and colour. No damage or repairs though the seat shows a few tiny dents, part of the character. Very pleasing and quite unusual to find a child’s chair of this age in good condition.
