Pair of Antique Staffordshire Gardening Figures C1840

19th century
Description

This beautiful PAIR OF ANTIQUE STAFFORDSHIRE GARDENING FIGURES date from circa 1840.

They are well-modelled and painted and have the most charming faces. Both Figures are holding flower-filled terracotta pots. The Young Gentleman has a Spade in his right hand whilst the Young Lady holds a flower. The Figures are gilt-lined with BEST GOLD.

The condition is good. There are chips to the flower petals on both figures and some old hairlines to the Young Lady Figure.

There is no restoration.

Height: 8 inches (20 cm)
