Philip Carrol Antiques has dated this piece to the 19th Century.
The reverse with a similar shaped panel, painted with a seascape, of figures being rescued from a shipwreck. All upon a turquoise ground, beneath a gilt net motif.

The bottle mounted with a hinged silver gilt cover, chased with a continuous band of acanthus leaf decoration, beneath a wreath of Patriotic flowers – roses, shamrocks, and thistle.
Impressed ‘Copeland Garrett’ mark, to the gilded base.
Height: 7 cm, 2 3/4”.
Width: 5.8 cm, 2 1/4”.
Depth: 3 cm, 1 1/8”.
Condition: Some typical wear to the gilding, and enamels - please see images for detail. No restoration.
