A very unusual set of 18th century metamorphic library steps concealed in the form of a library stool. The seat recently reupholstered in top quality hand dyed leather with bras studded detail and opens when the brass button is pressed to release the catch. The set of steps can be pulled out and the whole structure is supported on four square mahogany legs with iron strengthening straps. The interior has a paper label which we cannot decipher.
