A Pair of Silver Handled Victorian 'Campaign' Folding Scissors

An extremely rare pair of folding scissors with hallmarked silver handles. These unusual and collectable examples are probably a campaign item, for use in the field. Campaign items were often ingeniously designed as space was at a premium. The silver case is actually the handles and via an integrated clasp, opens to reveal the steel scissors which fold down. A desirable and sought after collector's item, with a practical use. Dimensions below.

Condition :- Very good. The scissors fold down pleasingly and have some age related scuff marks from use. The silver handles have some surface scuffs and close well.
