Georgian Cube Marquetry Box Circa 1790

18th century
Description

Fine Georgian oblong box with veneered burr yew-wood sides and wonderful cube marquetry top using many different woods and cross-banded with kingwood and box and ebony lines. The interior with lift out tray which would have had divisions at one time. All in fine condition with no repairs. Great vibrant colours with fine waxed patina.

Size; 2.5" high, 9" wide, 7" deep.
