Description

A beautiful unspoiled silver Georgian snuff box with clear hallmarks for Birmingham 1800 and maker’s mark for Samuel PEMBERTON. The George III head hallmark is also present. The hallmarks appear on each side of the base where it fits under the lid. The snuff box has a reeding pattern all over the lid and base, and around the sides. The interior is gilded, a mark of luxury. The hinge of the lid works perfectly, as does the catch which closes with a nice click but is easy to open. In excellent condition, no dents or damage. It was purchased at auction from a private collection and it is worthy as a collection piece.
